Even from its origins as the GT concept, the lines and elements of the Stinger were inspired by classic European Gran Turismo sports cars – elegant and fast automobiles that would reward a spirited driver, while also providing comfort on a long journey.
To become a true Gran Turismo, the Stinger endured over 10,000 km of testing on the legendary and gruelling Nürburgring racetrack while its performance and balance were perfected. The result is a high-traction combination of technology and engineering that makes the Stinger drive as good as it looks.

While intended to be beautiful, the Stinger’s design has a much more important task: to allow the car to perform to its maximum potential. That’s why function is married to every aspect of its form — from its front bumper air vents to its fastback design that produces a streamlined and aerodynamic silhouette.
To unleash its full potential, the Stinger comes equipped with a standard All-Wheel Drive system that allow its drivers to confidently grip the road in any condition – whether touring the countryside in the summer or hitting the best slopes in the winter.
Whether it’s a quad-tip exhaust, wide grill or fastback shape, there’s a certain feeling that goes along with stepping out of a high-performance sports sedan. No matter where they’re arriving, those who step out of the Stinger say something about their individuality. And those who get back behind the wheel leave a lasting impression.
Once on the road, it’s clear that the Stinger was designed to carefully dampen road imperfections and provide passengers with a feeling of comfort all the way to their destination. During the journey, their seats hug them, soft materials comfort them and the elegant fit and finish of the cabin move them up to first class.
When it came to performance, the dream was to build the fastest Kia ever produced — while giving a glimpse into the future of the brand. The target was to engineer a thrilling, high-performance sports sedan for those brave enough to bury the throttle and open up a powerful twin-turbocharged V6 engine.
If you dare to explore its power, you’ll need to be able to rein it in. With that in mind, the Stinger needed an effective braking system that could go beyond the vehicle’s limits and give you the confidence to truly enjoy your driving experience. That’s why we turned to Italian brake manufacturer, Brembo, for superior performance and a classic look.
As a driver’s car, the focus was on providing a minimalistic, aeronautically inspired cockpit that would connect you to the driving experience. By blending classic and modern elements like tactical, analog controls with high-end digital displays and an available driver’s heads-up display (HUD) unit, the Stinger allows for total immersion.
While connecting you to the road, the Stinger keeps you connected to everything else that matters. By integrating the latest in cutting-edge vehicle and mobile technologies, the Stinger allows you to enjoy the devices you have today and is at the ready for those you’ll have in the years to come.
